III-V optoelectronics along the semiconductor value chain

Visit us at LASER World of PHOTONICS 2023 in Munich from June 27 to 30.

At our booth in hall A3 (booth 441) we will present our research and development services in the field of III-V optoelectronics along the semiconductor value chain. Our researchers will be happy to explain to you what Fraunhofer IAF can offer from simulation and epitaxy, process technologies and characterization up to the manufacturing of components and modules for partners from industry and research. Our portfolio includes services around photodetectors and semiconductor lasers for various applications in production, communication, mobility and medicine.

    • Exhibits: InGaAs-based avalanche photodiode (APD) in a TO-8 package, AlGaAs waveguide as single photon source, GaN-based high-voltage driver for driving ring resonators (more about the MIAME project)
  • Modules
    • Presentation: Optically pumped semiconductor disk lasers (SDLs) in the wavelength range from 2 to 3 µm
    • Exhibits: Single-frequency SDL module in the wavelength range from 2.0 to 2.2 µm as powerful and low-noise pump source for quantum frequency converters (More about the HIFI project)

Development and manufacturing of modules

In our application laboratory, we offer spectroscopic measurements with our fast tunable quantum cascade lasers.
