On July 25 and 26, Heilbronn will become a vibrant hub for human-centered AI—featuring innovators from the fields of science, education, and culture. Together with Fraunhofer IIS, we will present the FIZ Chip AI Research and Innovation Center.

FIRST by FMD – Fast Innovation through Research in Semiconductor Technologies – is a European conference on semiconductor trends, roadmaps and strategic alignment in microelectronics. The event brings together decision-makers from industry, policy and research to discuss the future of Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem.

The European Microwave Week 2026 takes place from October 4 to 9 in London, Netherlands. The event combining three conferences and one exhibition offers the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in microwave technologies. At the trade fair, Fraunhofer IAF will present integrated circuits for high frequencies, terahertz technologies as well as millimeter wave circuits and modules that can be used, among other things, for the mobile radio generation after 5G and for high-precision distance measurement.

Visit our booth at the trade fair in Stuttgart and get to know the multifaceted quantum activities and players in Baden-Württemberg. Quantum Effects, the trade fair and conference for quantum technologies, takes place on October 6 and 7, 2026, in Stuttgart.

The Epitaxy Workshop, formerly the DGKK + DEMBE Workshop, is an annual event that features scientific presentations on all topics related to epitaxy—including methods such as HVPE and sputter epitaxy—covering a broad variety of material classes (not restricted to III-V semiconductors), as well as an exhibition by industry partners.
