Millimeter wave circuits for high speed data transmission

The data rate of future radio links can be substantially increased by using powerful high frequency circuits based on innovative III-V semiconductor technologies.

The E-band frequency range of 71 − 86 GHz offers the necessary bandwidth to enable sustainable and scalable multi-gigabit communication systems. The Fraunhofer IAF develops advanced receiver and transmitter components based on monolithically integrated millimeter wave circuits, which enable low form and weight factors, in combination with low power consumption and simple procedures for beam alignment and tracking.
