EuMIC Young Engineer Prize 2016

And the prize goes to … Belén Amado Rey from Fraunhofer IAF!

Congratulations to IAF junior scientist Belén Amado Rey! On 11 October, the PhD student was awarded the EuMIC Young Engineer Prize at the European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference 2016 for her paper »A 280 GHz Stacked-FET Power Amplifier Cell using 50 nm Metamorphic HEMT Technology«.

The prize of EUR 2 000 goes to young engineers who have presented an outstanding paper at the EuMIC.

The Fraunhofer IAF compliments Belén Amado Rey on this great performance and wishes her plenty of success and fun for her PhD thesis on the exciting topic of mHEMT high frequency amplifier!

Belén Amado-Rey (27) studied electrical engineering in Cáceres in Spain. Since February 2014, she has been working as a PhD student in the High Frequency Electronics department of Fraunhofer IAF.
